OFFICIAL CALL
For a Mass Meeting of the Amherst County Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia

As Chairman of the Amherst County Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia,and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the committee, I, S. Vance Wilkins, Jr., do hereby issue this Call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Madison Heights Community Center, 424 Woodys Lake Road, Madison
Heights, Virginia 24572, beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 6th, 2019. Registration begins at 5:00p.m. EDT.

The primary purpose of the Mass Meeting is to:

1. Elect a candidate(s) to represent the Republican Party in the November 5th, 2019 General Election for the position of Supervisor of the Amherst County Board of Supervisors, and;
2. Elect a candidate(s) to represent the Republican Party in the November 5th, 2019 General Election for the Constitutional Office of Sheriff, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Treasurer, and/or Commissioner of Revenue,
and;
3. For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.

Qualifications for Participation:

All legal and qualified voters of Amherst County, under the laws of the Commonwealth
of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing, as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican
Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

In addition to the foregoing, to be in accord with the principles of the Republican Party, a person otherwise qualified here under shall not have participated in Virginia in the nominating process of a party other than the Republican Party in the last five years from March 1, 2014. A single exception to this restriction shall be approved for a voter
who renounces affiliation with any other party in writing, and who expresses in writing that he/she is in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and intends to support the nominees of the Republican Party in the future.

For Mass Meeting registration, all participants shall be required to provide proof of identity in the form of a valid government or employer-issued photo identification. Only those individuals who are registered at the Mass Meeting by 7:00 p.m. EDT on May 6th, 2019, or who are in line for registration by that time, will be entitled to register and
participate in the Mass Meeting.

Pre-filing Requirements for Candidates for the Board of Supervisors:

Candidates for the Board of Supervisors must submit an official form, by mail or in person, to S. Vance Wilkins, Jr., Chairman of the Amherst County Republican
Committee, 299 East Monitor Road, Amherst, Virginia 24521

The official form can be downloaded at https://amherstcountygop.org. All official forms and a non-refundable filing fee of $50.00 (check or money order made payable to Amherst County Republican Committee) must be received by 5:00 p.m. EDT, April 19th, 2019. Nominations for candidates for the Board of Supervisors will not be
permitted from the floor of the Mass Meeting.

Pre-filing Requirements for Constitutional Offices:

Candidates for a Constitutional Office must submit an official form, by mail or in person, to S. Vance Wilkins, Jr., Chairman of the Amherst County Republican Committee, 299 East Monitor Road, Amherst, Virginia 24521.

The official form can be downloaded at https://amherstcountygop.org. All official forms and a non-refundable filing of $500.00 (check or money order made payable to Amherst County Republican Committee) must be received by 5:00 p.m. EDT, April 19th, 2019. Nominations for candidates for a Constitutional Office will not be permitted
from the floor of the Mass Meeting.

If there are no qualified pre-filed candidates for the Board of Supervisors or the Constitutional Offices, the Mass Meeting will be canceled.

There will be no registration fees required to participate in the Mass Meeting.
